MCMcCormick is primarily the work of Mike McCormick, an attorney with an engineering degree, 30+ years in the sports facilities industry, and experience with virtually every issue imaginable. Whether it’s a solo or a team engagement, our unique background and experience brings a distinctive and holistic skill set to a project. If we’re managing it, we understand and have insights into all of the moving parts. And if we’re helping other parties to resolve issues, we likewise can relate to the problem, find ways to “expand the pie”, and seek truly interest-based solutions.

In addition, and most recently, the rise of the drone phenomenon has allowed Mike to scratch his aerospace engineering itch and represent the stadium industry on a number of UAS topics on Capitol Hill and before the FAA, DHS, and commercial drone interests.

When not working, Mike labors at golf and a little photography. He and his wife, Linda, live in a log home (designed by sports architect, Ron Labinski) on 40 acres just outside of Kansas City, MO where they also wrangle 3 dogs, 4 horses, and 6 grandchildren.

Fees & More


As explained in other sections, there are many different roles that we can perform—and of course different circumstances require different tools and strategies. But it all boils down to some mixture of evaluation, problem-solving, negotiation, decision-making, and people-skills. Our fees reflect these varying needs and can be structured on an hourly, per diem, or fixed basis. Our typical hourly rate is $325 and our per diem is $2,500 but, whenever possible, we much prefer a fixed fee based upon the nature and scope of work as agreed in advance with our clients.
